Organizing a Multi-Vehicle Lettering Order
Organizing a Multi-Vehicle Lettering Order
A shared logo does not make a group lettering order one identical job. Different vehicles can require different artwork dimensions, quantities or tire fit checks. Organize the order around vehicle identifiers and approved configurations, then calculate the totals from those records.
Assign identifiers before collecting specifications
Use simple labels such as V01, V02 and V03. Each participant should submit the desired wording, tire details, placement measurements and relevant photographs under that identifier. For a club order, this is usually clearer than naming files only by vehicle make or by the owner's first name.
If a vehicle has different front and rear configurations, create separate lines for them. The identifier connects those lines to the same vehicle without implying that all four pieces are the same size.
Build the order matrix
| Vehicle | Positions | Artwork revision | Arcs per sidewall | Dimension reference |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| V01 | All four | Club-R03 | 1 | V01-proof |
| V02 | Front pair | Club-R03 | 1 | V02-front-proof |
| V02 | Rear pair | Club-R03 | 2 | V02-rear-proof |
This illustrative matrix represents ten arcs: four for V01, two for the front of V02 and four for the rear of V02. It does not establish the number of individual letters or accessories, which should be counted separately where relevant.
Keep brand consistency separate from fit approval
The group can agree on one logo, color assignment and spelling while still using different finished dimensions. Record those dimensional variations explicitly. Do not resize a previously approved logo for another vehicle without showing the revised proof to the person responsible for that configuration.
Choose one coordinator to send the final specification, but retain an approval for each vehicle. Conflicting last-minute messages are easier to resolve when the current matrix identifies which version is authoritative.
Pack and check by vehicle
Ask for the packing references to follow the same vehicle and position labels. On receipt, compare each bundle with its approved line in the matrix before distributing it. A correct total quantity can still conceal a swapped front/rear configuration.
Keep shared instructions accessible, but confirm what materials and instructions each participant needs. Do not assume one accessory pack or one application schedule suits every separate installation.
Retain individual reorder references
When someone replaces a tire or adds another vehicle, retrieve that configuration instead of reusing the group total. For enquiries about custom lettering sets, the vehicle matrix makes the relationship between the shared artwork and the separate orders explicit.
